Welding

Welding receives a high priority at United Valve. Our welding department is equipped with the latest hardware and staffed by experienced welders, qualified in accordance with ASME Section IX. We utilize various welding processes from “TIG” (GTAW) to Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), to perform our welding operations, utilizing over 175 qualified welding procedures. Multiple welding positioners and fixtures allow us to perform this work quickly and efficiently. Having our own fully equipped nondestructive evaluation department further insures the quality of United Valve weldments and fabrications. In-house heat-treatment furnaces, the largest with a maximum capacity of 6,000 lbs, insure that any stress relief or post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) is performed quickly and correctly.
