Cleaning valves and fittings for special service applications is performed
in our dedicated 600 sq. ft. clean room. The climate-controlled room is
equipped with the latest aqueous cleaning equipment as well as 2000 lb. jib
cranes for easy disassembly and assembly of cleaned valves. The room also
contains a valve testing station where valves are tested with Nitrogen
following reassembly. In addition to in-house training, clean room personnel
have received training from the manufacturers that we represent.
Black light inspection helps insure the cleanliness level of cleaned
components. Our personnel use both fixed and portable black lights during
cleaning operations. The wavelength and intensity of our black lights can be
verified at any time by customer request, utilizing our own calibration
equipment. United Valve has been cleaning valves for critical service
applications since 1967. Our list of customers includes every major oxygen
company; many valve manufacturers and numerous petrochemical companies.
Most valves used for oxygen and chlorine service are two inch and smaller,
however our facility can handle much larger valves. We routinely clean 24”
class 150 and 16” class 300 valves without difficulty. Copper and stainless
steel fittings for hospital oxygen systems are also cleaned and packaged. |
